The International Science and
The International Science and Technology Center (ISTC) is an intergovernmental organization connecting scientists from Kazakhstan, Armenia, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Georgia with their peers and research organizations in the EU, Japan, Republic of Korea, Norway and the United States.
ISTC facilitates international science projects and assists the global scientific and business community to source and engage with CIS and Georgian institutes that develop or possess an excellence of scientific know-how.
On 21 May 2018, member of the ISTC Secretariat Kamen Velichkov, Senior Programme Manager and Diplomatic Advisor, and Kalamkas Shampiyeva, Project Proposal/Project Agreement Officer, held a working meeting at the ISTC Main Office with Mr. Krister Liljegren, Area Manager, Environics Oy, Finland, a European company specialized in radiation detection equipment that has chosen for a motto: ‘We Sense & Detect for a Safer World’.
The Vienna Center for Disarmament and Non‑Proliferation recently published the first publication under the VCDNP's European Non-Proliferation and Security Initiative (ENSI) – the article Promoting a Scientist’s Duty of Care 4.0 by Adriaan van der Meer.
On 24-25 May, 2018 a Workshop will take place at the Hilton Astana, “Challenges of Scientific and Technological Evolution for Export Control Systems”.
“ISTC is again open for business”, said Executive Director David Cleave, quoting Ron Lehman, the Chairman of ISTC’s Governing Board, at the ribbon-cutting ceremony on 1 March 2018, at The Square Business Center on Turan Avenue in Astana.
