The International Science and
The International Science and Technology Center (ISTC) is an intergovernmental organization connecting scientists from Kazakhstan, Armenia, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Georgia with their peers and research organizations in the EU, Japan, Republic of Korea, Norway and the United States.
ISTC facilitates international science projects and assists the global scientific and business community to source and engage with CIS and Georgian institutes that develop or possess an excellence of scientific know-how.
ISTC supports projects in Kurchatov / Semipalatinsk and welcomes the UNGA Resolution on the rehabilitation of the region
The ISTC welcomes the news that the Second Committee of the UN General Assembly has approved on 20 November 2017 by consensus the Resolution on international cooperation and coordination of efforts aimed at the rehabilitation of the population, the environmental restoration, and economic development of the Semipalatinsk region in Kazakhstan

On invitation by ISTC the Spanish Ambassador Pedro Jose Sanz visited on 20 November 2017 the organization’s HQ at Nazarbayev University in Astana.
On 1st November 2017 the ISTC Science Advisory Committee (SAC) convened in Almaty for their bi-annual meeting to review ISTC Project proposals and to discuss issues relating to SAC current and future activities and to get updates on ISTC's current activities from the ISTC ED David Cleave.
ASTANA – The European Union, the International Science and Technology Centre (ISTC) together with the Kazakh Ministry of Investments and Development launched Oct. 12 the second project on export control of dual use goods and technologies, marking another step in strengthening the long-term partnership and cooperation between the two sides.
