EU sanctions seminar was organised in Bangkok, Thailand

The International Science and Technology Center supported the European Commission and EU Delegation in Thailand in organizing a series of training seminars on EU sanctions. The first session, held virtually on July 1, targeted participants from the Southeast Asia region. The in-person seminars on July 2 and 3 were held in Bangkok and dedicated to representatives of government agencies and private sector stakeholders of Thailand.
The primary objective of the event was to enhance awareness and understanding of EU sanctions and to help prevent potential attempts to circumvent them. The EU team of trainers is composed of sanctions experts from the European Commission, representatives from EU Member States as well as experts from the EU private sector led the training workshops, which included interactive Q&A sessions and presentations.
