On 25 October 2021 the Accra International Conference Center, one of the most popular venues in Accra, next door to the Parliament of Ghana, opened its premises to receive more than a hundred participants in the Third African Youth Nuclear Summit (AYNS2021), convened simultaneously in-person and online.
Kenya is soon to become the first African country to join ISTS. To celebrate this occasion ISTC and KEBS launched on 22 October 2021 an Essay Competition for young African experts and practitioners on the topic: ‘How international cooperation can boost research and development in my area of expertise?’ The results of the contest are to be announced during the upcoming Regional Metrology Conference, scheduled to take place from 6th through 10th December 2021, in Mombasa, Kenya.

On 15 and 16 October, 2021 Nazarbayev University Graduate School of Public Policy (GSPP) hosts a conference entitled Policy change and sectoral reforms in Eurasia. ISTC took part in Session 1 of the conference: Development Challenges in Eurasia.
On 15th of September 2021 the Course on Export Control was launched at the Kyrgyz National University under Zhusup Balasagyn (KNU)". This course was developed by a group of KNU professors, experts on EC in cooperation with the International Science and Technology Center (ISTC), the Center on Export Control with the support of the European Union.
On October 7, 2021, a regional scientific and practical conference with International participation took place on «COVID-19. Favorable working conditions, compliance with the anti-epidemic regime, social protection - a guarantee of staff health safety” was held in the capital Akmola region in Kokshetau.
On 8 October 2021 ISTC Executive Director David Cleave visited the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University in Nur Sultan to attend the opening ceremony of the MSc program in International Business and Strategic Trade Control.
