ISTC Secretariat informs that the deadline for new project proposals submission is February 5, 2016. All project proposals, registered before this date, will be reviewed by the Scientific Advisory Committee in March of 2016.
December 9, 2015 the Agreement on the Continuation of the International Science and Technology Center (ISTC) was signed in Astana. From the Kazakh side the document was signed by Minister of Education and Science Mr. A. Sarinzhipov.

On 22nd June 2015, ISTC Member States initialed ISTC Continuing Agreement formalizing the relocation of ISTC headquarters from Moscow to Astana. The ceremony coincided with the 60th meeting of ISTC Governing Board.

On 2 October, the ISTC Executive Director Mr. David Cleave, together with the Deputy Head of the EU Delegation to Kazakhstan, Mr. Kamen Velichkov and Dr. Zuresh Zhumadilova, Chief Expert of the Committee on Consumer Protection of Kazakhstan, opened the newly renovated animal breeding facility at the Kazakh Scientific Centre for Quarantine and Zoonotic Diseases (KSCQZD).
On 31 July 2014 ISTC Project K-2048 “Biosafety and Biosecurity Training for Personnel of Mobile Medical Units Working in Field Conditions” was successfully completed. This Project was funded by the European Union as part of a larger EU-ISTC contribution agreement with the objective of “Strengthening Biosafety & Biosecurity Capabilities in Central Asian Countries”.
