Within the framework of the project it is planned to develop a technology for controlling remote robotic complexes based on high-performance computer and network technologies. The partners develop a distributed robotic complex based on the FESTO equipment. A part of the equipment is located at KarSTU, the other part at KyrSTU. The task is to develop a robotics and robotic complexes control system in the remote access mode using the Internet with visualization of the technological process. The control system will ensure reorganizing the complex control algorithms when the range of products processed changes. KarSTU will have remote access to the robotic complexes of KyrSTU, and, respectively, KyrSTU will have remote access to the robotic complexes of KarSTU. It is assumed that the technology of remote robotic systems control will be universal and will allow using it in various production conditions including the ones for work in the territories complicated by various obstacles.
Real situation in the field of studies.
The bases for developing the project are available at the KarSTU APP department:
• robots (mobile robots) and robotic complexes (conveyor systems, lines of transportation and packaging of piece items, lines of marking, packing and moving, etc.);
• sets of specialized robots and robotic complexes manufactured by the FESTO company;
• devices for collecting and processing digital and analog information;
• serial sets of tools and automation systems by the Siemens, Schneider Electric, Mitzubisi, ABB, FESTO, Owen, Delta and other companies;
• interface tools, systems and specialized software; sets of hardware and specialized software included in the simulator of “cloud technology” including a server with licensed software for processing large data sets of stochastic information, modeling phenomena, processes, forecasting the objects state, control and management;
• sets of telecommunication equipment manufactured by the FESTO;
• methodological developments created in the process of developing and operating the international Internet program “SYNERGY”;
• software-and-hardware exclusive experimental developments: “Laboratory facilities and systems for remote control of a robotic complex”.
It is assumed that within the framework of this project the equipment will be purchased to develop a technical base at KyrSTU and to upgrade the existing robotic complex of KarSTU.
The proposed project impact on the progress in this area.
The possible notion of originality of the proposed project is not obvious, since in the field of controlling technical objects with remote Internet access there are separate achievements, including those with object controlling over long distances on land, on water and under water, in outer space and on other planets.
But at the same time, these unique developments have not become available for study and replication on this basis of analogs for their use in mass production, in security technologies for work in infected areas, in everyday life and in education systems.
Therefore, each new achievement in the processes of theoretical research, in the development of new technologies for controlling distributed objects using remote Internet access brings the progress in this area closer.
Competence of the project participants in this area. The employees of the KarSTU APP department participating in the project have professional education, experience in developing robots, robotic complexes, control systems and controlling remote production facilities (excavators, drilling rigs, conveyor systems, etc.) that is confirmed by publications and reports at international conferences (see Appendix F to this document, Part II, paragraph 12).
Expected results and their use.
As a result of the project implementation there will be developed a distributed robotic complex with remote control of the Internet access facilities and fragments of the “Industry-4.0” technology (hereinafter the “Complex”). The concomitant results of the project are as follows:
• the project “Automated distributed robotic complex with remote control of the Internet access facilities and fragments of the “Industry -4.0” technology (hereinafter referred to as “Project Complex”);
• method of designing the “Complex”;
• algorithms and specialized software of the “Project Complex”;
• methodological support for implementing and operating the “Complex”;
• recommendations on replicating the “Complex” and “Project Complex”;
• a list of possible scopes of the “Complex” and “Project Complex” analogs.
