Nanostructuring of composite systems

Project Status: 3 Approved without Funding
Duration in months: 36 months

Objective

Relevance and importance of the theme of the project is determined by the need to develop the scientific basis for the structural technology of polymers and composite systems for targeted changes in their physical properties.
The purpose of the project is to establish a relationship between the structure and physical properties of nanostructured polymers in conjunction with a process for their preparation and prehistory features external influences.
Despite extensive research into finding a correlation between the structure and physical properties of metals and nanocarboncontaining polymers, this problem is far from being solved. It is primarily due to the specifics of the structure and physic-chemical properties of nanocarbon materials, multilevel structural organization of polymers, their greater sensitivity to external influences, inadequate behavior of the structural elements in the field of external forces, etc. Development of this project reveals new aspects of the relationship between the manifestations of structural organization and physical properties of nanocomposite materials and technology for their production, which is an important contribution to the development physical and chemistry of polymers, materials science, medicine, industry, etc.
Project participants are experts in the field of physical chemistry and technology of polymers having sufficient experience in solving problems of fundamental and applied value.
In the implementation of the project it is expected that on the basis of detailed studies of the behavior of the structural elements nanocarboncontaining polymers with variation of process parameters allow to obtain new information about the technology nanocomposites, improve the technological processes for the production of nanostructured materials, identify mechanisms of deformation processes, etc.
The practical value of the project lies in the fact that suggests ways to obtain new nanocarbon polymeric materials with the best performance and can serve as a basis for the development of new construction products.
The proposed project meets the objectives of the ISTC for reorientation of weapons scientists to peaceful activities and their integration in the international scientific community, etc.
The scope of works on the project for three years (36 months), using modern methods of physics-chemical experiment, using computer technology for model calculations, data processing and analysis.
In the successful implementation of the project, its expertise, quality assessment and outcomes, assist in the implementation of scientific and technological research works and other leading role belongs to foreign collaborators, without whom the project is impossible.
