The training seminar on biosafety and biosecurity will be organized jointly by ISTC (http://www.istc.int) and BACAC (http://www.bacac.net) and is aimed to train specialists, including young professionals, who work with particularly dangerous pathogens in BACAC member countries. The focus will be on especially dangerous infections such as Crimean Congo Hemorrhagic Fever (CCHF), Zika virus and Ebola.

Five days of training sessions will include practical exercises, lectures, training seminars from the leading experts and specialists from BACAC, UK and WHO. Specialists from all BACAC countries and from some neighbor countries (i.e. Afghanistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan) will develop the common position and work out joint actions on localization of possible viral infection foci and prevention of its spread.

This event is intended to strengthen cooperation between different countries in terms of emerging and re-emerging infections, both between individual countries and globally.
