The ISTC meets with MBA Students from Nazarbayev University

article

On Friday 11th March, 2016, the ISTC Secretariat pitched 3 regional Action Plans focussed on Antibiotic Resistance, Seismic and Environmental Monitoring to 20 MBA students from Nazarbayev University in Astana. Subsequently, 7 MBA students attended a joint meeting with Dr Robyn McCutcheon (Central Asia Regional Environment, Science, Technology and Health Officer, U.S. Embassy Astana), Dr Sayed Ali (AP, Department of Biomedical Sciences, NU), Professor Chet Borucki (Dean of MBA Program, NU) and Mr. Kamen Velichkov (Minister Plenipotentiary EU Delegation) to discuss ways to obtain government co-funding. We will shortly begin pitching the Action Plans to MBA students from across Central Asia and the Caucus region, with the intention of connecting and coordinating our Science and Technology base with young entrepreneurs, future business leaders and sustainable government co-funding. The overall aim is to help create and support high-value Science and Technology opportunities across the regional economies. The ISTC would like to thank Professor Chet Borucki for his continued help and support of our activities.
