"The EU Funded CBRN CoE project P-87 on Preparedness and Response for Mass Gathering and other Health Threats in Central Asia with Key Experts led by Andrew Proudlove along with ISTC Executive Director David Cleave assistant by Special Project Manager Samal Asainova, organised a project Workshop in London on 29th & 30th July 2021 to discuss the action plans and objectives for both the first phase and for the second phase of the three and a half year & Euro 3.5mio project.
The team of 7 key experts will look as 7 key areas where mass gatherings can occur brought about by various issues such as water and food security, chemicals, poisons, pandemic, infectious diseases, and how to deal with mass gatherings in a command, control and communications situation.
A needs and gaps analyisis is being carried out in the 7 partner Countries and out of that analysis will bring about procurement of equipment and suitable training and exercises to upskill countries to ensure that they ill have the capacity to deal with mass gathering situations that will support preparedness, risk management, and crises coordination and informing public health authorities about relevant events which may need coordination of measures at regional level, as well as to foster a common understanding of the needs sand challenges of Partner Countiries, to increase security, peace and prosperity in the region""..
