Proposals related to land decontamination and monitoring in view of the Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant Accident: the evaluation process is underway

The ISTC and STCU would like to thank all the scientists for their project proposals. Now the evaluation process is underway. 

ISTC and STCU Secretariats would like to inform that the decision on the selection of the application has been delayed due to the number of applications – results will be available not in August, but in the beginning of September, 2012. 

Applicants will be informed about the evaluation results via e-mail accordingly.

ISTC and STCU issued a call for proposals for project proposals related to land decontamination and monitoring in view of the Fukushima NPP Accident:This Call for proposals invites institutes and companies working in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Moldova, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, Tajikistan and Ukraine, to submit project proposals. It is an asset if selected institutes, companies and other similar legal entities have participated in ISTC and/or STCU projects relevant to this Call for proposals.

The technology areas covered by this Call are: 
A) Decontamination and Rehabilitation
B) Long-term monitoring

This Call was launched as a response to the situation arrived after the Fukushima NPP Accident. ISTC and STCU carried out a review of their project results related to severe accidents management, decommissioning and environmental remediation in the nuclear sector. During this review process, the relevant Japanese authorities, ISTC and STCU have organized symposiums, seminars and workshops for experts from Japan, Russia and other CIS countries.
