The PPRD Med team was honored to actively participate in the 6th Arab Regional Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), held in February 2024 in Kuwait City. Organized by the UNDRR Arab States and the Government of Kuwait, the platform brought together policymakers, regional organizations, technical experts, and civil society to enhance resilience and strengthen regional cooperation in facing increasing disaster risks across the Arab region. The event served as a valuable opportunity to foster partnerships, exchange best practices, and mobilize collective action towards the Arab Strategy for Disaster Risk Reduction 2030.

During the session on “Strengthening Regional and Donor Collaboration for DRR,” supported by the League of Arab States and UNDRR, representative from PPRD Med, Alexandre Custaud, engaged in insightful discussions alongside regional leaders and DRR experts.

Events like the Arab Regional Platform reaffirm the vital role of regional partnerships and innovative solutions in addressing disaster risks and protecting vulnerable populations across the Arab region. The PPRD Med team remains committed to contributing to these efforts, working hand in hand with partner countries and regional stakeholders.
