One year ahead to go before ISTC Special Day at EXPO Osaka, Kansai, Japan 2025
One year from today – August 27, 2025 – ISTC will be celebrating and honoring its contribution to research and science as part of participation in EXPO 25 in Osaka, Japan. EXPO 25 assembles professionals from around the world to address global issues facing humankind. New technologies and products will undoubtedly emerge from EXPO 25 as they have in past world expositions – the elevator from the New York Exhibition in 1853; the telephone from the Philadelphia Centennial Exposition in 1876; moving sidewalks from the last expo in Osaka in 1970 and, entry tickets embedded with IC chips from the Aichi Exposition in Japan in 2005.
EXPO 2025 in Osaka will contribute to attaining the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals that were first outlined in 2015 with a 2030 implementation deadline. That is just five years away. EXPO 2025 in Osaka is considered a key platform for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
ISTC Special Day next August 27, 2025, in conjunction with EXPO 2025 and honoring progression toward the Sustainable Development Goals, will feature a plenary session in the afternoon in Osaka and a reception in the evening. ISTC looks forward to playing an active part as an international organization committed to wisdom, innovation, economic development and investment and culture at EXPO 2025 and the universally-supported Sustainable Development Goals.
