On October 7, 2021, a regional scientific and practical conference with International participation took place on «COVID-19. Favorable working conditions, compliance with the anti-epidemic regime, social protection - a guarantee of staff health safety” was held in the capital Akmola region in Kokshetau.
A presentation “Modern ideas about biosafety. Project 53 ISTC. Clinical biosafety.” (Dmitrovsky A.M., Yerubaev T.K., Syzdykov M.S.) was presented at the conference.
The presentation showed that, on average, in those areas where there were conducted trainings on clinical biosafety within the framework of the Project 53 and were able to find and train active trainers, the COVID-19 incidence of medical workers was 5.9%, and in those areas where we did not conduct such activity – 14.4% (P < 0.05).
Andrey Dmitrovskiy and Tatyana Lyatomskaya provided two two-day offline/online trainings which were also held for medical workers of the Akmola regional multidisciplinary hospital. A total of 82 medical specialists were trained.
