Joint Mission of the European Union and ISTC to South East Asia

ISTC's Executive Director David Cleave took part in a joint Mission of the European Union and ISTC to South East Asia to explore possibilities of a continuation of the ongoing cooperation in the area of mitigation of chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) risks after 2020 and to introduce ISTC to potential partners in Singapore and Manila, as part of ISTC's outreach strategy to invite new countries to join ISTC and to intensify its cooperation with South East Asia.

The mission members also included Mr. Eddie Maier Deputy Head of Unit Security, Nuclear Safety, Head of Sector CBRN, DEVCO Brussels, the ISTC Governing Board Chairman Mr. Ronald F. Lehman II, and accompanied also by Mr. Robert FRANK, Regional Cooperation Officer for South-East Asia.

High level meetings  took place with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in both countries, as well numerous other meetings with other Government Agencies responsible for CBRN and security in their Countries  to discuss future collaboration and cooperation through ISTC membership. The visit and discussions were received and viewed positively by both Countries.
 
Courtesy visits to the EU Delegations in Singapore and Manila were also made.
