ISTC visited Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation, and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan
On March 12, 2025 there was a meeting chaired by the Vice Minister of Digital Development, Innovation, and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan Malik Olzhabekov. At the meeting were present from ISTC Executive Director Karina Anguelieva, Deputy Executive Director Rashitdin Kokenov, Senior Program Manager Philippe Geffroy, representatives of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation, and Aerospace Industry, Kazakhstan Gharysh Sapary and Institute of Ionosphere
During the meeting Mr. Geffroy made a presentation on “Advanced Space Analytics and Engineering to Support the Kazakh Space Technology Ecosystem” and talked about the project “Water Radiation and Heavy Metals Monitoring System in Central Asia”. Parties discussed an opportunity for the Ministry to get support from the European Space Agency (ESA) in satellite monitoring of floods.
