ISTC Deputy Executive Director Rashitdin Kokenov spoke on October 18 in Astana with remarks before the Nuclear Society of Kazakhstan’s youth-oriented Nuclear Potential of Kazakhstan seminar which included the participation of young scientists in the nuclear industry in Kazakhstan. Many of the youth participants are research leaders at their respective enterprises.

Mr. Kokenov presented ISTC’s science program in Kazakhstan as part of the seminar’s featured guest speaker element. He also discussed ISTC’s support of younger professionals’ scientific research opportunities. His presentation and those of other featured speakers were preceded by discussion presentations covering development of the uranium mining industry and challenges associated with nuclear energy and physics. ISTC is thankful to organizers of the Nuclear Society of Kazakhstan for enabling presentations and discussion with an impressive group of young scientists.
