ISTC Participates in an International Scientific and Practical Conference in Astana
On invitation by the Kazakh Technology and Business University (KAZTBU) ISTC took part in an international scientific and practical conference titled: “Economics of Modern Kazakhstan: Problems and Prospects for Development” and convened at KAZTBU on 15 March 2019. The conference was opened and moderated by Prof. Dr. Nasikhan Jumamuhambetov, Vice Rector for Educational Program and Academic Mobility. The conference was dedicated to the jubilee anniversary of Professor Dr. Gulnar Dougalova, a renowned economist, one of the pivotal and most distinguished professors at the University.
More than twenty speakers from various universities in Astana, Almaty, Pavlodar, etc. and government agencies made presentations such as: Kazakh national university Al Farabi; Eurasian National University Lev Gumiliyov; Eurasian Institute on Humanities; International Center for Green Technologies and Investment Projects; the Economic Research Institute under the Ministry of National Economy; Scientific Research Institute of Mining and Drilling Technology of JSC "KazMunaiGas”; TRACECA Intergovernmental Commission - Transport Corridor "Europe Caucasus Asia"; NARHOZ University; Pavlodar State University, etc.
From ISTC Secretariat Sonya Vekstein, ISTC CFO, and Kamen Velichkov, SPM and DA, attended the conference.
The presentation made was on the topic: “ISTC in Support of Responsible Science and Technological Exchange”.
