On January 22-24, 2025 Lela Bakanidze, a Vice-President of the Biosafety Association for Central Asia and Caucasus (BACAC), participated in the International Federation of Biosafety Associations (IFBA) meetings and Tanzanian Biological Safety Association Global Voices Conference held in Arusha, Tanzania.

At the conference she made a presentation on “Biosafety Association for Central Asia and Caucasus – Building Regional Bridges”. Besides, during the conference, at IFBA Member Associations meeting she was representing two biosafety associations - BACAC and Georgian Biosafety Association (GeBSA) and discussed future strategies and cooperation.

"The conference provided the opportunity to meet with international representatives of other biosafety associations and biosafety/biosecurity experts, discussing future collaboration and challenges associations facing.
