ISTC, represented by the ISTC Executive Director Karina Anguelieva, ISTC Deputy Executive Director Rashitdin Kokenov, and ISTC SAC member Madina Tungatarova met with the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan (NAS RK). During the meeting with the representatives of the NAS RK, Abay Serikkanov, Vice-President and Anar Mukhtarova, Head of the Center for Scientific and Technical Cooperation, Ms. Anguelieva presented potential areas of collaboration with ISTC.

At the meeting were also present Chairman of the Board of the National Center of Science and Technology Evaluation (NCSTE) Asylkhan Bibosinov, representatives of the Institute of Combustion Problems, General Director Rashid Nadirov and Head of the implemented project, Kusman Dossumov, participant of the implemented project of the National Center for Seismological Observations and Research, Dmitry Shiman.

Two successful projects have been presented as examples of possible mutual partnership and increasing international visibility of Kazakhstani’s science and technologies in key areas. There were presentations made on the overview of the Legacy Nuclear Explosion Seismogram Digitalization project and from the Institute of Combustion Problems of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
