On the 8th of February 2018 ISTC Secretariat staff members met with the representatives of the Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC) and the Center for Emergency Situations and Disaster Risk Reduction (CESDRR) to discuss potential cooperation. The meeting was held in the ISTC headquarters in Astana. It was attended by Mr. Bill Ho, Director of Strategic Planning Department of ADPC, Ms. Samal Bekmaganbetova, Senior Specialist of the Department for Disaster Risk Reduction of CESDRR, Mr. David Cleave, ISTC ED, Mr. Aidyn Turebayev, ISTC DED, Mr. Kamen Velichkov ISTC SPM & Diplomatic Advisor, and other ISTC Secretariat members. The discussion revealed several common points of interest for the three organizations.  Mr. Aidyn Turebayev has confirmed that ISTC’s expansion and outreach strategy is important for ISTC. In this regard, cooperation with ADPC and CESDRR is of ISTC’s interest. The interlocutors agreed to sign a Memorandum of Understand in the nearest future and to have further discussions to follow common goals.
