ISTC Expands It's Activities with Danish Business Community
ISTC representatives met with the Confederation of Danish Industries (DI), which groups together a number of large innovation-driven enterprises, to discuss increasing R&D cooperation with scientific experts from Russia/CIS. Representatives from Danfoss A/S, Haldor Topsoe A/S, Hempel A/S and Novozymes A/S were among the participants at the meeting, which took place on September 3rd, 2008 at DI´s premisesin Copenhagen.
ISTCDeputy Executive Director, Prof. Waclaw Gudowski stated: “ ISTC has a proportionally high number of partners in Denmark, most of them with global operations. We have in the last year seen an increasing interest from Danish enterprises to expand R&D activities with Russian experts. We look forward to further projects and activities with Danish stakeholders.”
The event provided the opportunity for a dialogue among the participants, who exchanged experiences gained in Russia/CIS. DI opened the meeting with a comparative analysis of research activities in Russia, China, India and USA/European countries. ISTC presented its activities and highlighted opportunities to cooperate. Danfoss concluded the meeting with examples of its experience in Russia.
ISTC is an intergovernmental organization connecting scientists from Russia and other countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) with their peers and research organizations in Canada, EU, Japan, Republic of Korea, Norway and the United States.
ISTC facilitates international science projects and assists the global scientific and business community to engage with Russian and CIS institutes that develop or possess an excellence of scientific know-how.
ISTC supports commercialization initiatives and innovation best practice within the countries for which it works. It contributes to the international nonproliferation policy.
Private partners are invited to make use of ISTC to develop new technologies.
