International Conference "Current Problems of Biological Safety in Modern Conditions"

On September 22-23, the International Scientific Online Conference "Current Problems of Biological Safety in the Modern Conditions" was held. It was organized by the Private Institution “National Laboratory Astana” at Nazarbayev University, JSC "Science Fund" and

sponsored by the International Science and Technology Center.

The conference was devoted to discuss the issues of the COVID-19 infection spread and the combating the epidemiological threats. 

30 scientists from leading scientific organizations from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Armenia, Georgia, Belarus, as well as the USA, Argentina, and Hong Kong made presentations at the conference.

During each panel session, along with the speakers' presentations, there were active discussions on the topic and a question-and-answer session.

The conference committee selects the best theses, which will be placed in internationally recognized journals with coverage of costs at the expense of the conference fund. Based on the presentations made, the possible areas of cooperation will be identified by the Regional Council of Scientists, including joint projects.

Participants registered through the conference website https://rc-scientists.com/online/. The conference was attended by 649 participants on September 22, and 424 participants on September 23. The participants represented universities and research institutes in Central Asia and the Caucasus, as well as a small percentage of participants from the United States and China. All participants received participant certificates.
