During a recent visit to Tashkent, Uzbekistan the ISTC Executive Director David Cleave and Deputy Executive Director Aidyn Turebayev had several high level Government meetings with the Ministry of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan meeting with the Deputy Minister Professor Shahlo Turdikulova and some of her Ministry colleagues to discuss ISTC's activities in Uzbekistan and the region. 
The Deputy Minister was positive on ISTC's activities in the region, which includes Regional Water Security, Bio safety and Coronavirus pandemic related equipment and training's, and was keen to discuss further areas of cooperation in collaboration with ISTC in future. Future follow up meetings are planned to develop areas of interest and collaboration with Uzbekistan.The meeting came about as part of  and in conjunction with the Kick-Off Meeting of the EU Funded P-87 PRECA Mass Gathering Meeting which saw at 90 Participants from the region assemble for a week to take part in training sessions on a number of mass gathering related topics.   
The ISTC also met with World bank representatives to discuss collaboration on Uzbekistan's National innovation system and Modernization project and where ISTC might be able to collaborate in peer reviews and or other areas.
Finally ISTC met with the Vice Presidents Professor Mirzaev Sirojiddin and Academician Bakhtiyar Ibragimov of the Uzbekistan Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan to pass on ISTC's compliments and to update the Vice-Presidents on ISTC's work and activities in Uzbekistan and the Region and as to future collaboration and cooperation.
