'Viral Hepatitis Update 2009', St Petersburg, Russia, 18-19 June 2009.
In the first event of its kind in Russia to be endorsed by the European Association for the Study of the Liver (EASL), Elsevier, the international publishing house for science and health information, is organizing an international conference 'Viral Hepatitis Update 2009' to be held in St Petersburg, Russia, on 18-19 June 2009. The Conference will review recent developments in the diagnoses, prevention and understanding of pathogenesis and natural history of viral liver disorders, as well as treatment algorithms. The event is aimed at hepatologists and all health professionals dealing with virus induced liver disorders.
Liver diseases and particularly hepatitis are important areas of research for ISTC with 67 projects submitted by institutes, out of which 36 projects have received funding to date. The conference will be an opportunity for Russian, CIS and international experts to join in discussing innovative treatment techniques and technologies.
ISTC and Elsevier have collaborated for over two years to provide ISTC Beneficiary scientists access to internet science and health information databases. Elsevier serves more than 30 million scientists, students, and health and information professionals worldwide.
