Open R&BD Innovation by Inter-collaboration between Tomsk, Russia and Ulsan, Korea, 14-16 May 2012
The 28th ISTC-Korea workshop was held in Ulsan in cooperation with the Ulsan TechnoPark. It was hosted by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology and Ulsan city, the biggest industrial complex in Korea where world class Korean manufacturers run their businesses in the areas of automobile (Hyundai car), ship building (Hyundai Heavy Industry) and oil refinery and precision chemistry (SK).
The workshop was devoted to R&D applications in the automotive and chemical industries, new materials, ICT technologies and materials, resource conservation and recycling, power transmission systems and inorganic coatings.
A total of 15 technologies from Tomsk were presented to 300 attendees from Korean companies, research institutes and universities. 25 companies discussed commercial applications of proposed technologies in technical meetings and 10 technologies, for example, innovative power transmission equipment, were identified for further discussions.
