ISTC supports the 8th International Symposium on Special Purpose Polymers

“The 8th International Symposium on Special Purpose Polymers” was conducted during August 23-25 in Karaganda and Karkaralinsk.  The event was organized by the Republican State Enterprise “Academician Ye.A. Buketov Karaganda State University” and supported by the ISTC.

The main objective of the International Conference was to intensify the development of Kazakhstani science in the field of chemistry, physics and polymer technology, integrate it with recognized international research centers, leading foreign scientists, exchange knowledge and experience and improve the rating of Kazakhstan scientists in the global scientific community. In addition, participants, foreign scientists, can act as collaborators and implementers of research projects, become lecturers, publish their joint research papers in the national journals to improve their rating and citation index.

The program of the International Symposium on Special Purpose Polymers included the establishment and development of effective scientific cooperation between Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan in the framework of a special session of the ISTC and the Kazakh-Uzbek Symposium on “Modern Problems of Polymer Science” to discuss the joint project “Development of Technology for Natural Polymers Production plant materials for the needs of the oil industry, biotechnology and medicine”. The group of leading scientists from Uzbekistan, representing the Institute of Chemistry and Polymer Physics, Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Mirzo Ulugbek National University of Uzbekistan, Samarkand State University participated in the session. The joint session was a logical continuation of the Uzbek-Kazakh Symposium on “Modern Problems of Polymer Science” held on 28-29 September, 2018 in Tashkent.

The International Conference on special purpose polymers has been regularly held since 2002. The 2019 year Conference brought together over 70 scientists from Kazakhstan, USA, UK, Finland, Czech Republic, Turkey, Russia, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.  The next conference is planned to be conducted in 2021 in Uzbekistan.
