ISTC, with its sister organization, the Science and Technology Center in Ukraine (STCU), attended the international environmental and business conference 'Globe 2008', held in Vancouver, Canada, 11-14 March. ISTC financially supported the attendance of 6 Russian / CIS scientists (from the environmental remediation sector), and sponsored a joint ISTC / STCU exhibition area to promote the services available to Canadian companies via the two Centers and to act as a focus for international R&D and commercial partnering activity. 

The business community present at the event showed great interest in technology coming from Russia, Ukraine and CIS countries, particularly in the soil and water remediation, water filtering, biomass energy, and environmental friendly mining technologies sectors.
