On June 9 in Vladivostok, the International Science and Technology Center (ISTC) and the Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (FEB RAS) held a joint event to promote the benefits and services available from ISTC 
The ISTC delegation, which included Principle Deputy Executive Director, Mr. S. Vorobiev, and specialists in the preparation of project proposals for ISTC funding, offered presentations on the structure and main activity and services of ISTC; science and technical partner and regular projects information on project funding; and ISTC Programs for the sustainable development of Russian R&D institutions (Workshop, Mobility and Patenting support). 
Leaders of universities and academic institutions of Khabarovsk, Primorie and other regions of the Far East, as well as from other institutions of the region also made presentations on their work. 
On June 10, a roundtable event on ‘Probiotics, Prebiotics and Functional Food’ was held in the Pacific Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of FEB RAS with participation of bioexperts from different institutes of Vladivostok. Issues of international cooperation in the field of biologically active components of the hydrobionts for the production of sour-milk products were discussed. 

In further meetings, ISTC and FEB RAS, under the chairmanship of Academician V.I. Sergienko, held multilateral discussions on developing future cooperation. FEB RAS and ISTC now plan to develop further projects and continue the expansion of ISTC activity in the Far East region.
