International Conference EU-RUSSIA/CIS on Technologies of the Future: Spain-ISTC/STCU Cooperation, Madrid, April 22-23, 2010
The International Science and Technology Center (ISTC) and the Science and Technology Center in Ukraine (STCU) will hold, in collaboration with the Spanish research center CIEMAT, an international conference in the frame of the Spanish Presidency of the European Union. The event, to take place in Madrid on April 22-23, aims to promote scientific cooperation between Russia, the CIS and the EU – with a special emphasis on Spain. The biannual conference was previously held in countries hosting the Presidency including Portugal, Slovenia, France, Czech Republic and Sweden.
Common scientific interests between FSU and Spanish research communities have been identified and will be the main themes of a number of sessions;
- Space and Aviation (held at the CDTI)
- Nanotechnologies (held at the CSIC)
- Advanced nuclear reactors, high energy physics, accelerators and other related topics (held at the CIEMAT)
The team of FSU scientists has been selected according to the priorities of the European institutes present at the event to maximize the Partnering opportunities.
