Working Group on the Future of ISTC Gives Recommendations
A working party has completed, on 21 May 2010, an Interim Report on the future of ISTC . The future ISTC activities, proposed to the funding countries for further discussion, would be focussed on three goals: emphasis on innovation, scientist engagement and meeting the legal and legislative needs of the ISTC Parties.The interim report identifies the global challenges and opportunities that require multilateral attention via a transformed ISTC. Such cooperation would also require revision of the 1992 Agreement. The interim report will be discussed at the next ISTC Governing Board meeting to be held in July.
