ISTC Supports Cooperation Between Regional Governments in Germany and Russia
A meeting was held on 22 March 2011 in Smolensk between representatives of the regional authorities of Smolensk (Russia) and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern (Northern Germany).
The aim of this meeting was to develop specific forms of cooperation among others in the area of science.
The meeting decided to focus these activities on the increasing problem of multi-resistant drugs pathogens, diabetes and orthopedics.
Furthermore an exchange of best practices with respect to forms of alternative energy in particular in the agricultural sector - biomass - will take place.
ISTC has facilitated this new initiative, in cooperation with the Petersburg Dialog, Forum through various activities bringing regions together.
