ISTC Participates in the G7 Global Partnership Working Group under the French Presidency
Paris, France – February 2026
The International Science and Technology Center (ISTC) participated in the G7 Global Partnership Working Group meetings held in Paris from 11 to 13 February 2026 under the French G7 Presidency. Following its engagement in Canada last year, ISTC was pleased to continue contributing to this high-level international framework dedicated to countering chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) threats.
A High-Level International Gathering
The Paris session brought together representatives from France, Canada, the United States, Germany, Japan, the United Kingdom, Italy, and the European Union, alongside partner countries and major international organizations, including United Nations entities and specialized CBRN implementation bodies.
The diversity and expertise of participants ensured a dynamic and forward-looking exchange of perspectives on global security priorities.

Strategic Discussions on CBRN Risk Reduction
Plenary sessions and thematic working groups — including the Biological Security Working Group and the CBRN Working Group — addressed emerging risks, implementation challenges, operational coordination, and future funding orientations.
The discussions reflected both the urgency of evolving global threats and the importance of structured, practical cooperation mechanisms.
Meaningful Bilateral Engagements
For ISTC, the meetings provided an important platform for substantive bilateral exchanges with member states, donor representatives, and partner organizations.
These encounters closely aligned with ISTC’s mandate to support the implementation of complex, multi-stakeholder projects in challenging environments. Several discussions opened promising perspectives for strengthened cooperation and future project development.

Appreciation to the French Presidency
ISTC extends its sincere appreciation to the French Presidency and the organizing teams for the excellence of the event, the clarity of its strategic direction, and the high quality of its speakers and contributors.
The session provided comprehensive coverage of priority themes directly relevant to ISTC’s mission and objectives.
Looking Ahead
As the Global Partnership prepares for its next session in November, ISTC is confident that the momentum generated in Paris will continue to evolve into concrete collaborations, reinforcing shared commitments to CBRN risk reduction and international security.
