ISTC Technology Outreach activities in Kazakhstan (January – May 2012)
These activities are based on a short-term strategy developed by ISTC at the end of the year 2011. The strategy is aimed at assisting in modernization of the economy in the Republic, facilitating commercialization of technologies, transfer of international experience in the above fields.
Three events were planned for first part of 2012, two of them successfully held. The third event, “Operational training for technology developers” is scheduled for 30 May.
As a result of these efforts ISTC aims to:
- assist in building of better understanding of innovation-based economy among all parties involved
- offer various tools for commercialization of R & D results;
- prepare some preliminary selected technologies, innovations for present to investors.
The International Science and Technology Center (ISTC) is an intergovernmental organization connecting scientists from Kazakhstan, Armenia, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Georgia with their peers and research organizations in the EU, Japan, Republic of Korea, Norway and the United States.
ISTC facilitates international science projects and assists the global scientific and business community to source and engage with CIS and Georgian institutes that develop or possess an excellence of scientific know-how.
