Project summary

The ultimate objective of the project provides working out or a new branch of science - theoretical backgrounds of heat, conductivity of nongomogeneous materials.

A mathematical model for heterogeneous compositions will be developed using theory of probability.

Development of a new method for heat conductivity calculation of heterogeneous materials will be completed, Experimental investigations of thermal properties for different heterogeneous materials (such as porous, building, ceramic, coke et al.) at various temperatures, quantitative estimation of calculation methods will be earned out using experimental and design results. Computational programs or' indicated properties using computers will be created.

Expected findings:


- A mathematical model or heterogeneous materials based on chaotic alignment or' filler in a matrix,

Quantitative techniques of homogenity estimation in heterogeneous materials. Estimation methods of heat conductivity dispersion depending on material filling degree, sample thickness, heat conductivity of components. The expected dispersion from average heat conductivity for real protective constructions may be 30-40%.

Computational techniques of heat conductivity for porous materials at high temperatures, when heat conductivity depends greatly on radiation and convections in pores. The predicted error is not more than 30%.

On the base or' the created mathematical model for heterogeneous materials formulas for calculation of heat properties of filled compositions including reinforced plastics of different types, will be obtained. Particle size (pores) may be different. The error will be not more than 8-10%.

Comparison of experimental and calculation data on heat conductivity determination and estimation of methodology exactness will be done using histograms.

Creating of computational programs for computer calculation of heat conductivity of heterogeneous materials,
