Project summaryExperimental validation of nuclear data and existing computer codes to support neutron data libraries providing realistic calculations of LWR reactors with weapon and reactor grade plutoniura.
Experiments on critical assemblies. These facilities will be equiped with significant amount of weapon grade plutoniura, which will allow to create an international base for joint investigations on plutoniura isotopes behavior in thermal neutron flux.
Primary integral data on neutron cross-sections for Pu isotopes in LWR reactors neutron spectrum .
Role of foreign collaborators:
Based on about 30 years of Belgium institutions experience on their VENUS facility, in the field using Pu in LWR, it is foreseen joint expertise of constructing SUPR design, intercalibrations of the detectors and methods, joint analyses of the results, calculation benchmarks.
