Project summary

The purpose of the proposed project is elaboration of technological process for manufacturing of composite materials by means of electro contact heating (ECH).

Gaming the goal is intended on special rolling machine with controllable rotation speed of rolls and by the power supply for ECH with the effective current up to 25,000 A.

Conventional rolling with prehitting the rollable stack sheets or step-by-step hot extrusion could not be competitive with the combined methods of rolling and electrocontact heating (ECH) in short – the electric rolling.

Due to exception of preheating the blanks in furnaces and possible controlling the current force electric rolling isothermic process which allows to obtain high-quality products at the expense elimination of thermal stresses and cracks.
