The Autumn International School for Young Scientists “High Field Science - Kyoto 2012” was held at Kansai Photon Science Institute (KPSI) of the Japan Atomic Energy Agency (JAEA), Japan, on November 12 – 15, 2012.
The purpose of the Autumn School was to address studies of basic science problems associated with laser-plasma interactions, as well as industrial applications and applications to medical diagnostics and hadron therapy
The 15th Seminar of the ISTC Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) “Responsible Science in the Global Security Environment: How to Increase Awareness” took place in Yerevan (Armenia) on October 23-24, 2012
The Seminar was attended by scientists and experts from the US, European Union, Canada, Japan, CIS and Georgia.
The International School on Theoretical Physics "Quantum Physics on micro- and macrolevels: New Frontiers" was held on September 23 – 29, 2012.
The program of the school provided a possibility to the young scientists starting their research work in theoretical physics to get acquainted with the state of the art in this segment of physics, including the most important present-day problems and research perspectives.

A workshop “Efforts against Illicit Trafficking of Nuclear and Radiation Materials in Central Asia – Regional Priorities and Experience” was held on May 16-17, 2012 in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
